We are excited to be attending the upcoming ATEB Summit in Belgium. It’s an important event for the treasury community and for Treasurer Search. Since 2023, we’ve been growing our presence in the Belgian market, and it’s been insightful to connect with more treasury professionals and organizations.

As members of the association, we’re really looking forward to catching up with old and new candidates, exchanging ideas, and staying close to the latest developments in treasury and the labor market. Over the past year, we’ve had the chance to start conversations with more candidates and leading companies in Belgium, and we’re looking forward to keep building those relationships.

The event will feature a series of presentations, followed by a networking dinner and drinks, offering the perfect setting to learn, share, and meet new people.

Pieter and Ron will be attending the Working Capital Forum which will take place on November 25th at Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.

Pieter will be moderating the session The Rise of the Head of Working Capital at 13:00, joined by Jim Versluis (Holland Malt), Carol Thurnheer (Haleon), and Liudmila Gudina (IFF) to explore what defines a strong working capital leader and how new career paths are emerging for treasury and procurement professionals.

The event will feature case studies, live demos, and interactive sessions from leading companies including Stora Enso, Chart Industries, GXO, PicNic, Superunie, and Antolin.

The DACT Academy offers two days of high-level treasury insights under the theme “Don’t miss the opportunity of a good crisis.” The program features lectures from leading academics and industry experts, soft skills training, and networking moments like the Thesis Award Ceremony, dinner, and the DACT Run.

Why is ATEL Tech Day important for Treasurer Search?

Attending the event is a great way to invest in the two most important aspects we distinguish ourselves from generalistic recruiters.

The first is knowing what is hot in corporate treasury and informing our colleagues about this. A professional organisation like ATEL and her partners informing us about treasury tech sounds great.

Second, we maintain warm relations with companies and treasurers we hope to be important to. With a growing number of assignments in Luxembourg, this is a great moment to (re-)connect to the local treasury network so we can better identify who to inform about great assignments or available potential employees.

Of course treasury tech has an increasing impact, is constantly changing, and is not only for IT people to follow. It is hard to see the forest for the trees and an event like this is an excellent opportunity to get informed.

We just hosted our first Live Q&A, where Kim and Pieter answered great questions from our treasury community.

From career development tips to hiring trends in both interim and permanent roles, the session offered real-life perspectives based on Kim and Pieter’s extensive recruitment experience.

Have you ever recruited from an event?

Attending industry events is always a highlight for our team. It’s a great chance to connect, learn, and discover what’s new in the industry and the hashtag#labour market. We recently wrapped up another successful attendance at Finanzsymposium and it was a valuable experience.

Here is what stood out to our team:

👉 Valuable Connections and Learnings: The event was great for networking with both known contacts and new treasurers/clients. We continued building “warm contacts” this year, which really highlighted the importance of continued engagement.

👉 Candidate highlights: We met some truly impressive people. What stood out was the enthusiasm for modern technologies and innovation, alongside the openness to new opportunities and deep industry knowledge.

👉 Connecting with Potential: Personal connections are incredibly important. Being open for a chat and exchanging contact details for a follow-up is crucial. Our consistent presence at these events also sends a positive signal, gaining recognition and trust.

It’s a good reminder that recruitment doesn’t always start with a CV. Sometimes, it starts with a handshake and a meaningful chat.

Not every conversation leads to a placement, but every good connection has the potential to.
