Why is ATEL Tech Day important for Treasurer Search?

Attending the event is a great way to invest in the two most important aspects we distinguish ourselves from generalistic recruiters.

The first is knowing what is hot in corporate treasury and informing our colleagues about this. A professional organisation like ATEL and her partners informing us about treasury tech sounds great.

Second, we maintain warm relations with companies and treasurers we hope to be important to. With a growing number of assignments in Luxembourg, this is a great moment to (re-)connect to the local treasury network so we can better identify who to inform about great assignments or available potential employees.

Of course treasury tech has an increasing impact, is constantly changing, and is not only for IT people to follow. It is hard to see the forest for the trees and an event like this is an excellent opportunity to get informed.

Our team had the pleasure of attending the DACT Treasury Fair, an important event in the Dutch treasury community that brings together industry professionals, thought leaders, and innovators. From reconnecting with long-time contacts to meeting new faces, the event once again proved to be an invaluable platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and discussions about the evolving treasury landscape.

Reconnecting and Expanding Our Network

Alana shared her experience, noting how the event provided a great opportunity to catch up with familiar candidates and update them on our expanding presence in Germany. “Meeting treasurers in person led to some great conversations about how their roles are becoming even more vital, especially in the German market.” The relaxed atmosphere, especially during the networking drinks, made for meaningful exchanges in a more informal setting.

Pieter reflected on his history with the event, recalling his first DACT Treasury Fair back in 2009. “It is very nice to see how the association and the fair remain the pivot of the Dutch treasury community. What I liked then still is there: learning about what is new in treasury and building & maintaining relations. Over time the Fair has gotten better with more modern “fair technologies” and in better venues. Also it is nice that increased diversity with, for example, more nationalities, an increase in Women in Treasury but also other types of treasury providers results in a broader set of topics to discuss. I look forward to what will happen in the next 15 years

It was great to reconnect with so many familiar faces, both candidates and clients, as well as meet new professionals in the treasury space.
