We’re proud to have closed a search for a Treasury & Investment Relations Manager at an international retail organisation with a strong presence across the Benelux.
The search took us across the border. The client asked us to look for candidates in both Brussels and Amsterdam, with a network in both area’s this gave us a larger pool of candidates to work with.
The process wasn’t linear. After the first interviews, two strong candidates withdrew: one accepted another offer, and the other decided to stay in their current role. Our network allowed us to introduce new candidates quickly, and they matched the requirements just as well.
One of them came from a relationship we had been building for years. We had stayed in touch for a long time, and we already knew their ambitions when the right role appeared. Those conversations have now become a placement.
Recruitment does not run in a straight line. Last-minute schedule changes, unexpected counter-offers and mismatched expectations are part of the job. Working through them is what makes a good match so rewarding.
