The best approach varies – sometimes quick placements work well, while slow placements may be more satisfying. In August 2022, a client requested that we locate a senior treasury manager. The company was concerned about the volatility of global markets and thus halted hiring during the recruitment process.
Fortunately, we had already connected the ideal candidate and the hiring manager, and we were confident in the match. Although the markets were turbulent, we kept in touch with our contacts. Eventually, the markets stabilized and the client still needed our expert. After a seven-month wait, our candidate was able to accept the position and the deal was finalized. Slow and steady wins the race!
