Interim Credit Specialist - Amsterdam
Short description
As an Interim Credit Specialist, you will strengthen credit risk management and credit insurance across Europe, supporting commercially sound decisions in an international treasury environment. This hands-on interim assignment is suited to a suitably senior professional who can operate independently in a standalone role.
Tasks
In this role, you will help coordinate and standardize credit management activities across multiple markets. Your responsibilities will include assessing customer creditworthiness, setting and monitoring credit limits, and managing appropriate measures to mitigate credit risk. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve overdue receivables and support the handling of complex credit matters. You will also be responsible for improving credit reporting, data quality and process automation within the relevant business systems. Furthermore, you will support management reporting, contribute to continuous process improvements, and play an active role in the implementation and further development of credit management processes and systems across the organization.
Ideal Interim Cash Management Specialist

University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, combined with relevant experience in credit management.

Proven experience working with ERP systems, with strong Excel skills and a good understanding of credit management standards, credit insurance principles, trade incoterms, compliance, and related controls.

Experience with process harmonization, automation, systems optimization, and project-based implementations across countries.

A suitably senior, hands-on and analytical professional who is proactive, accurate, solution oriented, and able to work independently in a standalone role.

Diplomatic and communicative stakeholder manager who can balance commercial objectives and risk, work effectively with many stakeholders, and operate in a fast-changing international environment. Fluent spoken and written English is required.
Our Client
Our client is a well-established global company with a European headquarters treasury team supporting activities across multiple countries. The organization operates in an international environment where Treasury, Credit, Sales, Collections, and central functions work closely together.
Remuneration and Process
It will be an assignment of 3 months, which could be extended. The candidates hourly fee will be around € 100,- per hour. The role requires at least two days per week in the office.
