The drivers of a Treasurer are hardly ever the drivers of a Recruiter

Earlier this year, we proudly communicated Dennis Schmidt’s joining of Team Treasurer Search.

Together, we collaborated, discussing the many subtasks involved in recruitment. Dennis’s treasury expertise enriched the team, and we all learned a great deal about each other’s roles. However, as we took a step back, we realized it wasn’t just about skills—it was about what brings joy to our professional lives. And while Dennis’s expertise was invaluable, it became clear that what drives most of Team Treasurer Search does not bring the same sense of fulfillment to him. Life is too short to accept a role that doesn’t bring complete joy.

So, with a heavy heart, we bid farewell as colleagues, though not as treasury enthusiasts and warm business friends. We look forward to continuing to find ways to collaborate and share a drink at the DACT, the EACT, or elsewhere.
